Everyone at the club would like to express their deepest sympathies to the O'Rourke family on the passing of John O'Rouke senior. John had a keen interest in underage soccer within the town and was an advocate for it. His love for the game was second to none and he gave so many people so many memories.
He’ll be fondly remembered as the man who presided over Cobh Ramblers when they recruited Roy Keane from Rockmount in 1989 and sold him to Nottingham Forest 14 months later.
He will be sadly missed by all those who knew him and Cobh has certainly lost a legend today.
